This article presents a proposal to build a culture of peace process in the context of public schools, based on the understanding of the students' life narratives. Studies and Research already point to the fundamental emotional education for these issues, which involve affectivity, self-esteem and internal conflicts. The proposed methodology is Tripp's action research (2005), which is based on action research, allowing students to analyze and reflect on reality. The theories that deal with the culture of peace, bring Freire (1997), with an understanding of learning from the valuation of life experience, Yus (2002), highlights a vision of holistic education, which sees the student as a whole, these and other authors corroborate this proposal, base research on the culture of peace as a process that permeates self-knowledge, the recognition of identities and cooperation as a principle of this construction.
