ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANCY FOR A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING IN THE NORTH OF CEARÁ REGION

Abstract

Civil construction has great importance in the employment rate and unemployment levels in Brazil. Thus, it has a real impact on the environment, as it helps to reduce the scarcity of natural resources, polluting the air, soil and water, in addition to producing various other residues and debris. Therefore, the civil construction industry is one of the main sources of environmental degradation, with enormous generation and poor disposal of waste in the different stages of the production process. One of the biggest problems for municipal sanitation is solid waste and construction and demolition waste. This waste is generated by infrastructure, such as earthworks and service networks, new urban buildings, demolitions and renovations in general. The above mentioned objectives include: carrying out an environmental diagnosis at a construction site, intending to adopt an environmental management system with a central point in the issue of solid waste; Identify, characterize and evaluate the impacts generated during construction; Assess the significance of impacts; Implement proposals to solve environmental impacts and Define directions for the implementation of Cleaner Production. Preliminarily, this work made it possible to survey and evaluate the environmental impacts on a construction site, and thus analyze them more specifically and propose corrective measures to improve situations in the various stages of the production process, since all stages have an impact on the environment. , emphasizing the measures to reduce waste directly at the source, its reuse and adequate final disposal, treatment and reuse of effluents.
