Abstract

This article is a study on the crisis in the Brazilian prison system. Through a literature review with bibliographic research in which information is sought in books, magazines, publications and other materials on the subject. Among the objectives is the search for more information on the subject. The Brazilian prison system has shown a considerable increase in incarcerated in recent years, a place that aims to re-socialize the convict has not been able to develop its role, as it is a place where their basic rights guaranteed by law are daily disrespected.
