VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN: THE AGGRAVATING ISSUE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

It is not just today that domestic violence is a sad reality in the homes of several families. The state even tries to curb statistical data, however, the Covid-19 Pandemic, the new Coronavirus, its containment guidelines, such as social isolation, have further aggravated domestic violence. The general objective of the work is to analyze the increase in domestic violence rates under the possible influence of the Coronavirus pandemic, COVID-19. The methodology used was a qualitative analysis technique, the research method being an exploratory study. This is an in-depth study on feminicide instituted by Law No. 13,104 / 2015 in which it recognizes the seriousness of the problem studied here, and the Maria da Penha Law, No. 11,340 / 2006, which was already building important foundations for the combat this nefarious crime. In addition to analyzing the issue that the social isolation motivated by the pandemic has aggravated domestic violence against women. The study identified a 27% increase in complaints in the year 2020 alone.
