Acute Viral Bronchiolitis (AVB) is a respiratory infection of the upper airways that affects mostly children under two years of age, with a 75% rate of hospitalization. Respiratory physiotherapy has been used in patients with AVB, aiming to unblock the bronchus, pulmonary deflation and alveolar recruitment through various techniques. The objective of this study is to review the references of scientific articles that report on the effectiveness of respiratory physiotherapy in children with AVB and to verify the techniques that bring the greatest benefitto the pathology. For this purpose, articles in the Portuguese language were reviewed, studies carried out from 2012 to 2021 were selected, obtained from Google Academic, Scielo, PubMed and national scientific journals. Twenty-six articles were found in their databases, 15 were selected. It is considered that there are not enough randomized studies that prove the effectiveness of the performance of respiratory physiotherapy in these patients.
