In order to identify the impacts generated by the implementation of technological innovations in the timber sector in the municipality of Imbituva / PR, the research uses the Evolutionary Theory to explain the repercussions arising from the management and learning processes. Methodologically, it is characterized in applied, exploratory and ethnographic. The data were collected through a questionnaire applied to nine (09) companies in the timber sector located in the municipality of Imbituva/PR. The sample was intentional non-probabilistic, selected for convenience and accessibility. As a result, it can be seen that the implementation of innovations reduces costs, improves processes, there are fewer failures and there is product improvement, as well as promoting social changes, when analyzed under the aegis of Evolutionary Theory that advocates that companies, through learning and process improvement, optimize resources and innovate.
