This study presents a preliminary technical analysis of an inactive 69 kV substation at the Federal University of Alagoas' A.C. Simões campus, aiming to bring it into compliance with the current standards of the utility company Equatorial Alagoas. Through technical site visits and regulatory analysis, fundamental non-conformities were identified in the original civil, electrical, and electromechanical designs, affecting the sizing of transformers, circuit breakers, and busbars. Despite the need for extensive infrastructure redesign, the construction of a new utility substation near the university presents a viable logistical opportunity for effective high-voltage interconnection, enabling the regularization of the consumer unit—currently connected at 13.8 kV but facing an imminent transition to a 69 kV connection.
