Abstract

The Gender, Labor, and Public Policies Research Group (GTPP), established in 2014 at the State University of Paraná (UNESPAR), Paranavaí campus, Brazil, and certified by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), operates through an interdisciplinary approach to knowledge production and collaboration with social movements. The group promotes seminars, training courses, and initiatives aimed at addressing gender inequalities, thereby contributing to the development of local public policies. This paper revisits the editions of the Gender Seminar organized by the group, the creation of the Municipal Council for Women's Rights in Paranavaí, Paraná, and the collaborative efforts that led to the establishment of the Paranavaí LGBTQIAPN+ Collective. This report was developed based on the various records and materials produced and disseminated by the group's members across different communication platforms. Consequently, the history of the GTPP has been collectively constructed through the contributions of multiple individuals, embodied experiences, academic events, published books, documentaries, and other scholarly and cultural productions, as well as through political engagement, resistance to the conservatism present in society, and the promotion and appreciation of diversity.
