This article analyzes the impact of artificial intelligence on the production of children's books, focusing on the creative contributions, ethical challenges, and pedagogical implications associated with the use of this technology in literature for children. The research seeks to understand how AI tools have been applied to the creation of narratives, graphics, and personalized content, while also reflecting on their role in children's cognitive, emotional, and expressive development. To this end, an exploratory, mixed-methods approach (combining qualitative and quantitative elements) is adopted, integrating a literature review with field research. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires containing both closed-ended (Likert scale) and open-ended questions, administered to teachers, educators, and children's book authors. Analysis was conducted using simple descriptive statistics and thematic content analysis. The results indicate that, when pedagogically mediated, artificial intelligence can serve as an ally in the teaching-learning process, fostering literary literacy, creativity, and child agency. The research further highlights the importance of public teacher training, digital inclusion, and policies that promote the ethical and meaningful use of AI within the educational context.Downloads
