EDUCATIONAL POLICIES AND THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO BASIC EDUCATION

Abstract

This research paper addresses the importance of educational policies in Basic Education, highlighting that, despite advances in recent decades such as increased access to school and the creation of inclusion-focused programs, challenges remain for these policies to be effectively applied in daily school life. The study points out that improving the quality of education depends not only on laws and guidelines, but also on concrete conditions in schools, such as adequate infrastructure, teacher appreciation, and training. Furthermore, the text emphasizes that educational programs have contributed to reducing school dropout rates and inequalities, promoting opportunities for continued studies and social development. Based on the 1988 Federal Constitution and the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB), the work reinforces that education is a right for all and must guarantee quality. Finally, the Final Course Project raises as a central question understanding what the actual contributions of Educational Policies to Basic Education are, highlighting the need for these policies to be more effective in school practice.
