NURSING CARE IN EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR PATIENTS WITH ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION

Abstract

]This article aimed to analyze the nursing interventions performed in emergency care for patients with acute myocardial infarction, identifying practices that contribute to the quality of care, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction. This is an integrative literature review conducted in the following databases: MEDLINE, PubMed, ScienceDirect, SciELO, and LILACS, in which, through defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample was constructed with scientific evidence regarding nursing care actions adopted in emergency settings for the management of acute myocardial infarction in patients of both sexes and all age groups. Through the applied search mechanisms, a sample of 13 studies was identified in the databases. It can be concluded that emergency nursing interventions for patients with acute myocardial infarction contribute to reducing response time, improving clinical prognosis, decreasing cardiovascular complications, and increasing patient satisfaction. The studies indicate that the adoption of protocols, continuous staff training, rapid decision-making, immediate monitoring, and humanized care promote greater effectiveness in emergency care, resulting in improved clinical and psychological outcomes. Furthermore, emotional support and humanized care approaches proved to be relevant to patient recovery and satisfaction.
