This article aimed to analyze, through an integrative literature review, the role of nursing professionals in the comprehensive care of women's health, especially in the postpartum period, verifying the strategies used and their impacts on women's health. The research was conducted through searches in the databases of the National Health Library (BVS) and Google Scholar, where inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, and the selected results were analyzed in light of the literature. Through the bibliographic survey, this article made it possible to analyze the role of nursing professionals in the comprehensive care of women's health during pregnancy, as well as in the postpartum period, highlighting the great relevance of Nursing as an important instrument in promoting maternal health in general, thus achieving the research objective. Although there are still advances in care practices focused on maternal health, the studies addressed and analyzed show that strategies such as nursing consultations generate positive results in the gestational and puerperal periods. Therefore, it can be concluded that this study contributes significantly to the literature on the subject, broadening the discussion for the development of more research in the field of health in general.
