This article analyzes the simultaneous recognition of biological and socio-affective paternity in the Brazilian civil registry, with a central focus on the resulting patrimonial effects. The research problem lies in how the legal system equates the division of responsibilities related to alimony and inheritance rights in multiparentality. The main objective is the detailed analysis of the thesis established by the Supreme Federal Court in Extraordinary Appeal 898.060 (Theme 622). Qualitative bibliographic review and jurisprudential analysis methodology are used to support the presented study. It is observed that the Supreme Court's decision transformed Family Law by preventing the socio-affective bond from exempting the biological father from his legal and financial obligations. It is concluded that the national legal system has consolidated absolute equality between forms of filiation, ensuring legal security.
