This article aimed to analyze the synergistic effect of cyproterone acetate associated with salicylic acid peeling in the control of acne vulgaris, considering the clinical, aesthetic, and psychosocial impacts of this dermatological condition. The research was developed through a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory literature review, using scientific articles, books, and publications indexed in national and international databases regarding the pathophysiology of acne, antiandrogen hormonal therapies, and dermatological chemical procedures. The results showed that cyproterone acetate acts by reducing androgenic activity and sebaceous production, while salicylic acid promotes keratolytic, anti-inflammatory, and skin renewal actions, contributing to the reduction of acne lesions, oiliness, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The therapeutic association demonstrated superior potential when compared to isolated treatments, favoring significant clinical improvement and positive impacts on patients' self-esteem. It was concluded that the combination of hormonal therapy and chemical peeling represents an effective, safe, and relevant alternative in the multidisciplinary management of acne vulgaris.
