Abstract

This article analyzes the legal aspects of fixed-odds betting in Brazilian football under Law 14.790/2023. The exponential growth of this market demanded a legislative response to guarantee legal security and the integrity of competitions. Through bibliographic and documentary research, the study examines the control mechanisms and the responsibility of operators. It concludes that regulation is a fundamental step to mitigate the risks of match-fixing and guarantee transparency in national sport (BRAZIL, 2023).
