Introduction: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive and irreversible condition with high morbidity and mortality. Hemodialysis, although essential for survival, is associated with functional decline, muscle weakness, and reduced quality of life. Aim: To analyze the benefits of physiotherapy applied to patients with CKD on a dialysis program, focusing on functional capacity, muscle strength, and quality of life. Materials and Methods: This is a case report with an associated literature review, conducted with a patient on a hemodialysis program who underwent an intradialytic physiotherapy protocol for 12 weeks. Evaluations included the Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT), Medical Research Council (MRC) scale, dynamometry, and the SF-36 quality of life questionnaire. Results: Significant improvements were observed in 6MWT distance, lower limb muscle strength scores, and SF-36 functional capacity and vitality domains, as well as improvements in hemodynamic parameters following sessions. Conclusion: Intradialytic physiotherapy proved to be a safe and effective strategy, contributing to functional rehabilitation and improved quality of life in chronic kidney disease patients on hemodialysis.
