This study aimed to analyze the issue of tuberculosis treatment abandonment and related epidemiological aspects in the Amazonian municipality of Manacapuru, using data from 2019 to 2024. It is a retrospective and descriptive epidemiological study, based on data collected from the Amazonas Health Surveillance Foundation (FSV-AM). The research revealed 678 reported cases and 50 deaths, with an increasing trend until 2024, when the incidence rate reached 163 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Concurrently, the analyzed indicators show a decline in the cure rate to 18.4% in 2024, while tuberculosis treatment abandonment reached 23% in 2023, indicating a significant deviation from nationally defined targets. The prominence of the pulmonary clinical form of tuberculosis was also detected, as well as the fact that most patients were male and within economically active age groups, with emphasis on the most vulnerable social classes. Controlling tuberculosis requires restructuring health strategies in Manacapuru, aiming to reduce the number of cases and improve care for patients affected by this disease.
