APPLICATIONS OF BLOCKCHAIN ​​IN CONTEMPORARY MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative instrument in contemporary administrative practices, reconfiguring management, transparency, and organizational governance processes. This article aims to analyze blockchain applications in administration, with emphasis on its implications for public management, business process reliability, and organizational digital transformation. The methodology adopted is configured as Bibliographic Research, based on Gil (2017) and Lakatos and Marconi (2021), with a systematic survey of recent academic productions on the topic. The analytical path addresses the technological foundations of blockchain, its applications in Brazilian public administration, risk management in productive chains, and ethical challenges in implementing emerging technologies. The results indicate that blockchain enhances transparency, security, and administrative efficiency, although it requires investment in technological infrastructure and qualified human resources training. It is concluded that integrating blockchain into administrative practices represents significant progress for management modernization, demanding, however, public policies and organizational strategies that overcome technical, regulatory, and cultural obstacles.
