Abstract

The article explores the complex interaction between the principles of functional independence and institutional unity within the Brazilian Public Prosecutor's Office. Functional independence ensures the autonomy of prosecutors, allowing them to act according to their conscience and the law, while institutional unity seeks to ensure the cohesion and coordination of institutional actions. The analysis, after an introduction regarding the constitutional profile of the Public Prosecutor's Office, proposes a harmonization of the principles that is considered appropriate.
