The present study aims to report the experience of educational activities carried out by students in a telemarketing institution during the Occupational Health course of the fifth semester of the Undergraduate Nursing Program, Bachelor’s and Teaching Degree, at Federal University of Uberlândia. The themes addressed were part of two awareness campaigns related to the months in which they were conducted. The first was “Blue and Green April,” which raises awareness about autism and occupational health and safety, and the second was “Pink May,” which discusses motherhood and women’s health. The activities resulted in a somewhat pessimistic perspective regarding workers’ interest in actions aimed at health promotion. This stems from a social structure that neither teaches self-care nor allows care practices, while also profiting from illness. We consider that the experience was productive in helping us understand the importance of educational actions and the shortcomings present in society in the field of health, especially occupational health.
