This study, through an integrative literature review (2020–2025), analyzed the main nursing care aspects for children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus. The results highlighted that nurses play an essential role in glycemic control, insulin guidance, capillary blood glucose monitoring, promoting therapeutic adherence, and supporting families. Health education proved fundamental in stimulating self-care and preventing acute complications. It is concluded that qualified nursing care significantly improves the quality of life of these patients, reinforcing the importance of educational strategies and continuous follow-up.
