Chikungunya fever is an arboviral disease characterized by sudden-onset fever and intense polyarthralgia, which may lead to prolonged functional limitations and impact quality of life. It is caused by the Chikungunya virus, transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. As a reemerging disease associated with prolonged physical limitations, epidemiological studies are essential to support control and prevention actions. This study aimed to analyze the incidence and characterize the epidemiological profile of reported Chikungunya fever cases in the state of Paraná from 2020 to 2025. This is an epidemiological, observational, and descriptive study based on secondary data from the Ministry of Health’s DATASUS system. The variables considered were year, municipality of notification, age group, race, and sex. A progressive increase in the number of cases was observed over the period, with a significant rise in 2025, totaling 11.248 reported cases. The municipality of Cascavel had the highest cumulative number of records. The predominant epidemiological profile consisted of female individuals, of white race, aged between 20 and 39 years. The findings highlight the need to strengthen surveillance and control strategies, focusing on the most affected groups, in order to reduce transmission and the social and economic impacts of the disease.
