Abstract

This study addresses the construction and implementation of an automated backup system designed for sectors of the Municipality of Duque de Caxias. The central problem lies in the slowness and high incidence of errors in manual data saving processes on external devices. Methodologically, a Batch script integrated with the SQL Server database management system was developed. The results show an efficient reduction in backup execution time and the elimination of operational costs, allowing the system to be adapted to organizations of different sizes. It is concluded that automation, even based on low-cost tools, increases the reliability of work routines and the integrity of institutional digital assets.
