Objective: to describe the epidemiological profile of dengue in the municipality of Altamira, Pará, between 2021 and 2025, and to analyze its implications for health practice. Methods: this is an observational, descriptive, retrospective epidemiological study with historical series analysis, based on secondary data on probable dengue cases reported among residents of Altamira, obtained from the Notifiable Diseases Information System available through the TABNET/DATASUS platform. Temporal, sociodemographic, clinical and healthcare variables were analyzed using absolute and relative frequencies. Results: 2,192 probable dengue cases were recorded during the study period. There was a reduction in notifications in 2022 compared with 2021, followed by an increase in 2023 and a marked rise in 2024 and 2025. The highest frequency occurred between February and May, with a peak in March. Most cases were identified among adults aged 20 to 39 years, females and self-declared mixed-race individuals. Most cases were classified as dengue without severity signs, with a low proportion of hospitalizations and one death due to dengue. Conclusion: dengue in Altamira showed a recent increase in transmission, a defined seasonal pattern and predominance among young adults, with a predominantly mild clinical profile, although with relevant repercussions for health services during periods of higher incidence.
