Public security in Brazil faces complex challenges related to the increase in crime and contemporary social transformations, requiring the adoption of innovative strategies based on the use of technology. This study aims to analyze the role of technological innovation in public security management in the State of Pará, with emphasis on security totems and video surveillance systems. This is a qualitative research, with an exploratory and descriptive approach, developed through bibliographic review, document analysis, and the application of a structured interview. The results show that the incorporation of these technologies expands territorial monitoring capacity, reduces police response time, and strengthens preventive and investigative actions. In addition, the importance of system integration, professional training, and data governance for the effectiveness of these tools is highlighted. It is concluded that technological innovation represents a significant advance in the modernization of public security, although its effectiveness depends on the articulation with institutional, human, and legal factors, as well as respect for fundamental rights.
