Objective: to analyze the profile of hospitalizations for endometriosis in Brazil by age group between 2015 and 2024, with emphasis on the number of hospitalizations, average length of hospital stay, and mean hospitalization cost. Method: an ecological, retrospective, and descriptive study with a quantitative approach, based on secondary public-domain data from the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), through the Hospital Information System of the Unified Health System (SIH/SUS). Hospitalizations for endometriosis classified under category N80 of the International Classification of Diseases, 10th revision (ICD-10), in women aged 20 to 59 years were included. Results: 110,270 hospitalizations were recorded during the analyzed period, with predominance among women of reproductive age, especially in the 40–49-year age group, with 52,952 cases (48.02%), and in the 30–39-year age group, with 30,575 cases (27.73%). The average length of hospital stay ranged from 2.11 to 2.47 days, being higher among women aged 30 to 39 years. The highest mean hospitalization cost was observed in the 40–49-year age group (R$ 939.19). Conclusion: endometriosis showed a relevant hospital burden in the Unified Health System, especially among women of reproductive age, highlighting its important healthcare and economic impact.
