The integration of pedagogical games into contemporary educational practices emerges as a strategic approach to enhance student engagement and support active knowledge construction. This study examines how such resources, aligned with active methodologies, promote student protagonism and problem-solving in curricular contexts. The bibliographic research is grounded in Lakatos and Marconi (2017) and Minayo (2015), ensuring analytical rigor. The discussion highlights the transition from traditional expository methods to interactive approaches, emphasizing gamification, digital culture, and collaborative learning (Santos, 2025; Santos & Pereira, 2025; Tozzi et al., 2024). Findings indicate that pedagogical games increase motivation, strengthen transversal competencies, and require curricular adaptations that balance playfulness and conceptual depth.
