Obstetric violence constitutes an important public health problem, related to the violation of reproductive rights and the dehumanization of care provided to women during the pregnancy–puerperal cycle. In this context, nurses in Primary Health Care play a fundamental role in promoting humanized care, guiding pregnant women, and ensuring their rights. Objective: To analyze the scientific production regarding obstetric violence and the role of nurses in Primary Health Care, with an emphasis on guidance about modes of delivery and the promotion of pregnant women’s rights. Method: This is an integrative literature review conducted using the SciELO, PubMed, and MEDLINE databases, employing descriptors related to obstetric violence, nursing, and Primary Health Care. Articles published between 2015 and 2025, in Portuguese and English, were included. Results: A total of 4,237 studies were identified, of which 10 were selected after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. It was found that obstetric violence manifests through unnecessary interventions, negligence, verbal abuse, and lack of informed consent. Conclusion: Nurses play an essential role in preventing obstetric violence in Primary Health Care through health education, strengthening women’s autonomy, and promoting evidence-based practices.
