Burnout syndrome, characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a sense of inefficacy at work, has gained prominence as an emerging public health issue. The COVID-19 pandemic intensified this scenario by worsening working conditions and mental health. This study aimed to analyze the evolution of Burnout notifications in Brazil from 2014 to 2024, with an emphasis on comparing the pre- and post-pandemic periods, as well as the distribution by sex, age group, region, and federative unit. The results showed an increase of over 1300% in notifications after 2020, with a predominance of cases among women (72%) and individuals aged 30 to 49 years (72%). The Southern region presented the highest proportional rates, particularly in the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina. These findings demonstrate a significant rise in Burnout in Brazil, especially following the pandemic. The data highlight the urgency of prevention strategies, mental health support for workers, and public policies that consider regional, gender, and age-based disparities.
