This article analyzes the process of constructing the military identity of cadets in the Officer Training Course (CFO) at the Coronel Neper da Silveira Alencar Military Police Academy of the Amazonas Military Police (PMAM). The transition from a bachelor's degree to an officer's commission is a complex period, marked by immersion in an organizational culture guided by hierarchy and discipline, which shapes the professional identity of the future officer. This qualitative and exploratory research, based on a literature and documentary review, investigates how military pedagogy, rites of passage, and organizational socialization influence the psychophysical, ethical, and moral conformation of cadets. The study explores the importance of self-efficacy and Human Rights education as elements that impact resilience, well-being, and the formation of a citizen-focused police force. The results indicate that the assimilation of military values, combined with a humanistic education, is fundamental for the development of an officer prepared for the challenges of public security in the Amazon. It is concluded that the strengthening of military identity, in line with democratic principles, is crucial for the legitimacy and effectiveness of police action.
