This article analyzes the implementation of body cameras (BCAs) in the Military Police of Amazonas (PMAM), focusing on transparency and operational effectiveness. The research focuses on the viability of this technology in light of the logistical particularities of the Amazon region. The methodology adopted is qualitative and exploratory, based on a literature review and documentary analysis of regulations and jurisprudence. The results demonstrate that, although the cameras improve the production of evidence and offer legal protection to police officers, their effectiveness in reducing lethality is multifactorial and depends on robust management protocols. It concludes that the technology promotes accountability and social legitimacy, but requires continuous investment in technological infrastructure and the development of human capital to guarantee respect for human dignity and the legal security of officers in the Amazonian context.Downloads
