This article examines the impacts of data driven public security on state crime management in the city of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. The research integrates environmental criminology, contemporary public governance theory and intelligence led policing, engaging with both international literature and empirical studies developed within the Amazonian context. A qualitative, exploratory and explanatory approach was adopted, based on systematic literature review and documentary analysis of public policies implemented at the state level. The study analyzes the incorporation of geospatial tools, crime concentration analysis, electronic monitoring systems, body worn cameras and structured police intelligence. Findings suggest that institutionalized criminal analysis strengthens administrative rationality, improves strategic resource allocation and enhances state predictability, provided that democratic governance, legal oversight and fundamental rights protections are ensured.
