Population aging is one of the most significant phenomena of the 21st century. The global elderly population is growing at approximately 3% per year, and it is estimated that by 2050, this population will number 2.1 billion. Therefore, the objective of this research was to highlight the importance of homecare physiotherapy in the quality of life of older adults, analyzing the benefits of functional rehabilitation in improving mobility. This is a literature review; scientific articles were searched through the Virtual Health Library, Scientific Electronic Library Online, and Google Scholar databases. Full-text articles published between 2015 and 2025, with free access, and addressing the proposed topic were selected. Analysis of the selected studies showed that homecare physiotherapy has a positive impact on the quality of life of older adults in homecare, promoting functional, cognitive, and emotional improvements. The findings corroborate the relevance of this approach for increasing mobility, reducing pain, and preventing complications associated with immobility and frailty in older adults. Therefore, this study is relevant not only to strengthen evidence-based practice, but also to support public policies that encourage the expansion of care services for the elderly.
