This article analyzes the use of the Independent Dog Policing Company (CIPCÃES) as a strategic tool to enhance the effectiveness of the Amazonas Military Police in combating drug trafficking. The main objective is to describe how the use of the cynotechnical pair optimizes the detection of illicit substances at critical flow points, such as the Arpão Fluvial Bases. The methodology adopted consisted of exploratory and descriptive research, with a qualitative approach and support in documentary and bibliographic analysis. The results demonstrate that the sensory precision of the detector dog surpasses the limitations of conventional methods, resulting in record seizures and billionaire losses to organized crime. It is concluded that CIPCÃES is indispensable for public safety in the Amazon, as it combines technical efficiency with legal validity, consolidating Amazonas as a national reference in the fight against drug trafficking and ensuring the reduction of the flow of narcotics to other regions of the country.
