Population growth, unplanned urbanization, and high population density favor the spread of infectious diseases, especially arboviruses such as dengue, Zika, and chikungunya, transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. In this context, health education stands out as an essential tool, and university extension projects play an important role in bringing science closer to society. This study aims to evaluate participants’ knowledge about arboviruses and their prevention based on educational actions carried out during the International Sport Fishing Festival (FIPE-2025) in Cáceres, Mato Grosso, Brazil. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative and quantitative approach, developed through playful workshops and the application of questionnaires. A total of 61 students participated, demonstrating greater understanding of dengue symptoms and preventive measures, although conceptual gaps remain. It is concluded that the educational actions had a positive impact on participants’ knowledge and reinforced the importance of community mobilization in the prevention of arboviral diseases.
