Institutional credibility is the most valuable intangible asset of democratic police organizations. This article analyzes the impact of disinformation and fake news within the Amazonas Military Police (PMAM), highlighting how the propagation of false narratives in the digital environment compromises the corporation's legitimacy and the safety of its police units. Based on a literature review, it demonstrates the tactical vulnerability generated by the immediate forwarding of unverified information by the troops themselves, often motivated by operational urgency. As a solution to this informational asymmetry, the rigorous application of the Data Evaluation Technique (TAD) is proposed for filtering information from open sources, combined with the modernization of the Intelligence System through the principles of antifragility. It concludes that the transition from a reactive organizational culture to an antifragile posture, supported by police counterintelligence, allows the institution not only to resist media crises but also to transform these attacks into opportunities for tactical improvement and the strengthening of its credibility before the society of Amazonas.
