This article sought to analyze the contributions of aesthetic nursing to individuals' self-esteem and well-being through an integrative literature review. The search was conducted in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), and Google Scholar databases, considering publications between 2020 and 2025 in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, resulting in a final sample of 10 articles. The findings showed that the role of nurses in the aesthetic field goes beyond the performance of technical procedures, encompassing health education, encouragement of self-care, qualified listening, and humanized care. A positive association was observed between aesthetic procedures and improved self-esteem, self-confidence, body satisfaction, and quality of life. It is concluded that aesthetic nursing is a relevant area in comprehensive care, contributing to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals, in addition to strengthening the autonomy and professional valorization of nurses.
