Youth and Adult Education (EJA) plays a crucial role in promoting social inclusion and reducing educational inequalities, providing opportunities for individuals who missed formal schooling at the appropriate age to continue their studies. Despite its importance, academic success and student retention in EJA face numerous challenges, including socioeconomic, familial, pedagogical, and motivational factors. This study investigates the determinant factors of academic success and school dropout in EJA within public schools, aiming to identify the main obstacles affecting learning and course completion. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, including document analysis, interviews with teachers and school administrators, and surveys administered to EJA students. The findings are expected to support the development of more effective educational strategies, enhance student performance, reduce dropout rates, and inform public policies that strengthen EJA programs, fostering engagement and persistence among learners.
