This article analyzes the influence of the visibility of the Amazonas Military Police (PMAM) patrolling on the population's sense of security and the construction of institutional trust. The research discusses the importance of ostensive policing not only as a mechanism for repression but as a fundamental tool for promoting public order and managing social tranquility. It addresses the role of technological integration, exemplified by the Intelligent Video-Monitoring Perimeter ("Paredão"), and the proximity between the police and the community in building trust bonds, essential for crime prevention. Furthermore, the impasses faced, such as urban disorder and media factors, to consolidate this trust and ensure an effective presence in communities are examined. The methodology adopted consisted of a bibliographic review and documentary analysis of an exploratory and descriptive nature, based on public security and urban mobility theories. The results suggest that operational visibility, when combined with efficient performance and respect for citizen rights, reduces subjective insecurity and strengthens police legitimacy.
