Home visits, as a guideline of the Unified Health System (SUS), bring care closer to the user’s environment, favoring longitudinal follow-up, the recognition of health needs, the strengthening of the professional–patient bond, and the promotion of comprehensive and humanized care. This study aims to analyze, in the literature, the perception of nursing professionals regarding welcoming practices during their professional performance in home visits. It is an integrative literature review that sought to analyze scientific publications on the topic. The selection was carried out in the MEDLINE, LILACS, and BDENF databases. Descriptors were used in combination with Boolean operators for the search strategy: “Home Visit” AND “Welcoming” OR “Nursing Professionals.” Through integrative analysis of the studies, it was observed that nurses perceive home visits as an essential strategy for welcoming practices in Primary Health Care, as they promote bonding, qualified listening, and a broader identification of users’ needs. However, organizational weaknesses that hinder its effectiveness were identified. Home care constitutes a fundamental instrument for comprehensive care in Primary Health Care, despite existing structural fragilities. The need to strengthen its organization and effectiveness within primary care is emphasized.
