The financial instability of military police officers in Amazonas compromises the quality of service provided to society by directly affecting the operational performance, mental health, and motivation of these professionals. Indebtedness, exacerbated by low salaries, indiscriminate credit offerings, and the rise of online gambling, generates emotional overload, increased absenteeism, greater vulnerability to illicit conduct, and damage to the institutional image within the community. This qualitative and bibliographical study analyzes academic research, institutional reports, and literature on financial education, indebtedness, and mental health in the police context, seeking to understand how financial instability interferes with visible policing and the relationship of trust with the population of Amazonas. Based on this analysis, prevention and mitigation strategies are proposed, such as permanent financial education programs, the creation of psychological support and financial guidance centers within the corporations, internal awareness campaigns, and professional development policies, including salary reviews, with the aim of reducing indebtedness, strengthening the well-being of police officers, and improving the efficiency of public security services.
