Keywords:
Comprehensive care. Healthcare Networks. Evidence-based practices.Abstract
Building a health system that is effective, equitable, and focused on the needs of the population requires effective coordination between different levels of care, strengthening evidence-based practices, and the integrated work of multidisciplinary teams. In the context of the Unified Health System (SUS), this dynamic is expressed both in the actions developed in Primary Health Care and in specialized and high-complexity services, requiring professionals to have a broader vision of health care.
This e-book was created with the purpose of contributing to critical and qualified reflection on care, organizational, and clinical practices that permeate the daily routine of health services. This work brings together productions that engage with fundamental themes of health care throughout the life course, from promotion and prevention to the management of complex conditions, highlighting the importance of welcoming, care management, the integration of care networks, and specialized clinical practice as inseparable elements of comprehensive care.
By addressing different care settings—from primary care to the hospital environment—the book emphasizes the strategic role of health professionals in building relationships, organizing care flows, making clinical decisions based on scientific evidence, and consolidating practices aligned with public health policies. The interface between primary care, urgent and emergency care, clinical specialties, and management reinforces the need for a systemic view of care, capable of responding to individual and collective demands in an ethical, humane, and efficient manner.
Intended for students, residents, healthcare professionals, researchers, and managers, this e-book is intended as an academic and technical support material, encouraging the improvement of healthcare practices and strengthening the commitment to quality care, equity in access, and the defense of a public, integrated, and socially committed healthcare system.
