The supervised internship in Psychology and Health was carried out at the Monte Carmelo Monastery – CSS Maria Augusta, a welcoming and hopeful space dedicated to women recovering from chemical dependency. Under the supervision of psychologists, the experience comprised 20 hours of observation, during which it was possible to experience the institutional routine and understand the importance of attentive listening and humanized care. The work focused on institutional reception and psychological support for women with disorders related to the use of psychoactive substances. This experience made it possible to unite theory and practice within a humanistic approach, valuing empathy, respect, and the autonomy of those being cared for. The actions and reflections were developed in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, broadening the perspective on the therapeutic process and social reintegration.
