The progressive increase in the population aging index has become a current reality. In the context of old age, the appearance of the most varied diseases is common, among which Alzheimer's Disease - AD stands out. In Brazil, the pathology reveals itself as a public health problem, making the patient need help, which is given through the figure of the caregiver. This person, whether family or professional, is responsible for providing you with physical and psychological support. Thus, considering the burden arising from the care process, this study aimed to describe the aspects that influence the quality of life of caregivers of people with Alzheimer's disease, in order to contribute to the discussion of the theme. Therefore, the research was based on the integrative review method, which is now consistent in the analysis, gathering and synthesis of available articles on the subject. Data collection took place through the Virtual Health Library (VHL), with LILACS and Medline repositories, as well as by SCIELO, so that after the study composition was carried out, the objective initially established was answered. Finally, concluding that the multiple tasks performed by the caregiver can generate severe wear, depression, anxiety, stress, etc., as well as reduce self-care, being essential to work together with health professionals and other members of the family structure to enable the improvement of living conditions.
