Systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) has a high prevalence and low control index, being considered one of the main changeable risk factors and one of the most important public health problems. Therefore, hypertension is a chronic, non-communicable disease that presents high levels of systolic and diastolic pressure, considered one of the main risk factors for cardiovascular disease, with multifactorial clinical conditions characterized by a continuous increase in blood pressure. Patients with hypertension generally adhere incorrectly to drug treatment, which can lead to decreased drug efficacy, either by insufficient dosage or inadequate storage location, resulti in loss of drug activity, or even with drug interaction or foods that can adhere to treatment. The correct use of medications is one of the main factors for successful treatment. Pharmaceutical Care can be defined as the direct interaction between the pharmacist and the patient, aiming at reasonable drug treatment and obtaining measurable results, aimed at improving the quality of life, making it essential to reduce possible drug-related problems.
