Introduction: Pressure injuries (PUs) represent a significant challenge in home care, especially for bedridden patients, as they directly impact the quality of care and nursing performance. Limited resources and caregivers' lack of knowledge about preventive measures increase the vulnerability of these individuals, making the role of nurses as advisors, evaluators, and health educators essential. Objective: To understand nursing actions in preventing pressure injuries in bedridden patients at home. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review conducted in the BVS, LILACS, MEDLINE, and BDENF databases, including articles published between 2020 and 2025. Studies in Portuguese that addressed the role of nurses in preventing PUs in the home environment were included, resulting in a final sample of 11 articles. Analysis and discussion of results: The findings demonstrated that nurses' role is crucial in assessing risk, implementing preventive interventions, and training family members and caregivers. Eleven studies published between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed, highlighting the importance of health education and the use of assistive and adaptive technologies as effective preventive strategies. Health education and the use of assistive technologies were identified as effective strategies for reducing the incidence of PUs and improving patients' quality of life. Conclusion: Nurses play an essential role in preventing PUs in home care, combining technical knowledge and humanized sensitivity. Their role strengthens caregivers' autonomy, prevents complications, and promotes safe, comprehensive, and patient-centered care.
