Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality, requiring continuous and qualified care during prenatal care. This study aimed to describe, through a narrative review of the literature, the main nursing interventions in the prevention and treatment of preeclampsia, highlighting care, preventive strategies, and implications for maternal and child health. This is a literature review, with bibliographic research conducted in the SciELO and PubMed databases, covering publications between 2020 and 2025. Twenty-five studies were analyzed, including scientific articles, books, online sites, and COFEN resolutions. The results indicated that the role of nurses is essential in the early identification of signs and symptoms of the disease, in providing guidance on self-care, and in implementing preventive strategies, such as the use of acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) and calcium supplementation. It was concluded that obstetric nursing plays a fundamental role in reducing maternal-fetal complications, contributing to safer pregnancies and lower mortality rates. The need for continuous training of professionals and the application of updated clinical protocols was emphasized.
