General: Analyze the risk factors for falls in maternity wards and identify preventive measures to minimize these events. Methodology: This is a bibliographic review study with an exploratory qualitative approach. Data will be collected from March to November 2025 from BVS, BDENF, SCIELO, and Google Scholar databases, using keywords like "obstetric nursing," "falls," and "patient safety." Data analysis will be based on Minayo's (2014) thematic analysis, which includes reading and interpreting selected studies. The study will not be submitted to the Ethics Committee, as it is a bibliographic review, but ethical guidelines will be followed, particularly regarding copyright. Results and Discussion: 827 articles were found, of which 799 were excluded for not being related to the topic. The final sample consisted of 20 articles, divided into two categories: risk factors for falls in maternity wards and nursing interventions to minimize these risks. The analysis revealed that factors such as inadequate environmental conditions, use of sedatives, and lack of emotional support increase fall risk. Maternal education and health professional training are essential to reduce these risks. Conclusion: Patient safety in maternity wards depends on the implementation of effective preventive strategies. Health professional training, use of support devices, and the creation of a safety culture are essential to ensure a safe environment and minimize falls.
