Efficient water management is a central challenge in modern agriculture, given the high inefficiency of traditional irrigation methods and the consequent waste of resources. To optimize water consumption and ensure plant health, a Smart Irrigation System (SIS) was developed, a self-sufficient prototype based on Arduino and IoT. The SIS actively monitors soil moisture (YL-69) and light (LDR) to automate watering. The crucial innovation lies in the control logic with Anti-Oscillation Protection, implemented to ensure the stability of the relay against chattering. This logic ensures precise pump activation only when moisture drops below the critical level of 30% and shutdown upon reaching the safe level of 50%. The system also offers immediate visual feedback via Bicolor LEDs. The research utilized a case study and quantitative performance evaluation to validate the precision of the control and the optimization of water. The results demonstrate that the SIS is effective in minimizing water stress, providing a low-cost solution with significant potential to promote water conservation.
