This article analyzes the welcoming and restoration model of the Bethânia Community, founded by Father Léo, from a psychological perspective. The qualitative research is based on a case study conducted at the Curitiba unit, involving participant observation, interviews, and document analysis. The objective is to understand how the pillars of spirituality, community living, discipline, and work act as psychosocial instruments in the reconstruction of the identity of people struggling with chemical dependency. The investigation revealed that the community's pedagogical approach promotes holistic re-education, aligned with the principles of Humanistic and Systemic Psychology, and incorporates spiritual practices that favor inner healing. The importance of the psychologist's professional role in the therapeutic process is highlighted, evidenced by the recent formal hiring of a psychologist with a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, compatible with the institutional values. As a future proposal, stemming from the internship experience, the implementation of post-welcoming psychological support is suggested, aiming to strengthen bonds and promote continuity of care. It is concluded that the presence of Psychology in care institutions like Bethânia is essential to enhance the processes of social reintegration and reconstruction of subjectivity.
